GENERAL INFORMATION

1. IS CASANOVA LIKE OTHER STEAK COMPANIES?

Our service is similar to other steak companies in that we ship meats that you order online. But our products and business services are not the same. We ship our meats in the freshest means available, fresh cut and shipped out. We only offer prime grade beef, not choice and definitely not select.

2. THE SIZE OF MY STEAK IS SLIGHTLY SMALLER/LARGER THAN ADVERTISED?

We do our best to never deviate more than 5-7% from the size advertised. Each piece of meat is different and is almost impossible to get cuts the exact same weight across the board.

3. HAS YOUR MEAT EVER BEEN RECALLED/FOUND TO BE UNSAFE TO EAT?

We are USDA certified and follow strict protocols to keep our meat safe to eat. We also have intensive recall measures (which we haven’t had to use!) to assure safety to our customers.

4. CAN I PUT IN SPECIAL REQUESTS? (Different sizes, cuts of meat, ect)

As of right now we try and stay away from this. But we may be able to help depending on the request. If you want to speak to a representative feel free to call or send us a message through our chat.

5. HOW SHOULD I DEFROST MY BEEF?

If you defrost beef properly and the flavor will be great. The best way to thaw beef is in a refrigerator. DO NOT thaw beef at room temperature. Place it in a bowl or tray, put it inside the refrigerator and let it thaw for 12 hours. Thicker pieces may require longer defrosting times.

If you need it sooner you can thaw the vacuum sealed bag in cold water for faster results.

6. MY BEEF ARRIVED DEFROSTED?

Most of our items are shipped FRESH. We cut everything to order that day and ship it that night. Some items are frozen such as Lamb Chops, sausages, lobster ETC. If these items are thawed just pop them back into your freezer and you’ll be all set.

7. CAN I FIND THE QUALITY OF MEAT YOU SELL AT THE LOCAL SUPERMARKET?

Unlikely. Supermarkets deal in massive volume  and a higher price item wouldn’t “fly” off the shelf like they plan for with most of their perishable items. When it comes to beef, they have to keep up with ridiculous demand and wouldn’t be able to source enough high quality beef to keep it stocked on the shelves.

9. HOW DO YOUR PRICES COMPARE WITH OTHER COMPANIES SIMILAR TO YOU?

We are RIDICULOUSLY CHEAP compared to other steak companies. Our quality will be comparable if not better at the same price. We have been in the business for over 75 years and have very good relationships with the farms we source from. This allows us to provide an amazing product at an affordable price.

10. WHAT IF I HAVE QUESTIONS? IS THERE ANYONE I CAN SPEAK TO?

Of course. Our live chat is open 24/7. If no one is available at that moment, just leave a note and they will get back to you ASAP. You can also call during business hours 8 am-4 pm.

11. DO I NEED TO FREEZE THE ITEMS I JUST GOT IN?

We suggest keeping beef in your refrigerator for 5-6 days. However it will likely last MUCH longer, in fact the beef will age and gain flavor and tenderness in a process called wet-aging. Make sure the beef stays between 30 and 34 degrees Fahrenheit.

We still recommend freezing it if you will not consume it in the next few days.

Frozen beef will usually stay fresh for about 6 months. Vacuum sealed beef can last up to 2 or 3 years. Do note that over time, freezers will drain the flavor out of food. Our recommendation is not to exceed 6 months of storage.

Chicken should be consumed in 4-5 days of receiving it. If you don’t plan on eating it in that window, we suggest freezing your poultry.

Lamb you should keep frozen unless you are ready to cook it.

Fish you can keep in your fridge for about 2 days. If you don’t plan on cooking it within 2 days you should freeze it ASAP. (Lobster & Shrimp keep frozen until you plan on cooking it.)

Pork should be consumed in 3-4 days of receiving it. If you don’t plan on eating it in that time period we recommended freezing it.

No. Our codes are one time use per customer. Our shipping codes can be stacked with regular codes if you hit the minimum order value. Depending on the area you live in you may automatically qualify for free shipping! (Once you get to check out you will see the shipping options and if you qualify for the discount.

1. HOW DO I KNOW WHAT CUT OF MEAT IS BEST FOR MY FAMILY?

Everyone has a different preference on the cuts of meat they like. We notice that people who may not like specific items, for example skirt steak, really like our prime skirt steak. There is a huge difference in quality, texture, and flavor when you start eating prime meat that people don’t understand until they try it.

2. WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR MEAT FROM?

We source all our proteins from all over country. We working directly with the farms, ranches, brands and distributors. Over the last 75 years we have built up relationships and trust with our sources to ensure all our meats live up to the highest quality.

3. DO YOU HAVE FREE-RANGE/GRASS-FED OPTIONS?

Not as of right now. Please reach out to us to see if we can help you find something you are looking for! If we get enough inquiries we will look into sourcing it.

4. IS YOUR CHICKEN ORGANIC?

No but it is all-natural and antibiotic-free. Feel free to reach out to us and let us know what you are looking for. If we get enough inquiries we can look into sourcing it.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

1. IS IT SAFE TO SHIP MEATS FRESH?

Yes. Our innovative, eco-friendly insulated boxes keep in the cold and keep out the heat for up to 48+ hours.

2. DO YOU DELIVER TO MY ZIP CODE?

We currently deliver to New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. If you would like to schedule a delivery outside this zone please give us a call and we can go through your options.

3. WHEN WILL MY ORDER ARRIVE?

We ship 1 or 2 day only at the moment. If you place your order before the deadline - 8pm anyway of the week. It will be shipped out the next day.

For example you order at 6pm Monday. On Tuesday we will prepare your order and your order should arrive on Wednesday.

4. I CAME HOME AND MY BOX WAS WAITING ON MY DOORSTEP. IS IT STILL SAFE TO EAT?

5. DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS?

Due to the nature of our business and products we sell, items are not eligible for a refund once they've been shipped. If there is an issue when your product arrives, please email hunter@casanovameats.com with pictures immediately on arrival and we will get it resolved right away.
